Rachel had just come into the kitchen when Taipa said that. Oh great. She does have my attitude... Knowing Taipa would say something along the lines of "You say it, too," she decided to let Tobias handle that one.

"While I do agree with you, it might be better if you picked different wording" Tobias said. He partly wanted to laugh but he knew that would look bad. *she is so like her mother* he thought.

Aaron smiled a little at Taipa's comment. It wasn't like that wasn't true either. He wasn't going to let the yeerks get away with changing his life without paying for it. He'd give them hell for taking his parents, and he knew his grandpa and mom would be proud. Grandpa never wanted to be a controller again. He always said he'd prefer death.... I just hope it doesn't come to that to free him from this yeerk.

"Sorry, Dad," Taipa said, "Won't happen again." Gee, how many times has she said that? She sat down and started eating her breakfast, and looked over at Aaron. "Okay, so I meant rear end, is that better?" She sent him a smile.

Rachel rolled her eyes as she sat down at the table to eat. She started thinking about the get togethers her and Melissa had started doing. Was she a controller when we did that? Was I just that blind? She felt a pang of guilt, thinking that if she had survived the war, she might have been able to stop it from happening. Feeling that it was about to show on her face, she took a bite out of her food.

"Yeah." Tobias replied, though he was a little concerned about Rachel. She was being careful not to give her feelings away, but there were little things he saw briefly, looks when she thought he wasn't looking. He wanted to ask if she was all right, but he knew that none of them were in a sense. He wans't sure how to approach things, and he didn't like it.

Kodiac looked at his sister in mild surprise and listened to his parents and then looked at Aaron. "They're right. We'll get them back." He felt like he was giving Aaron a promise now. He looked at his food, not completely hungry, so he stared at it, willing to be hungry enough to eat.

Rachel had taken a few bites out of her breakfast. Though she shifted a little, a bit unsure of what to say. She didn't feel like that often, but when she did, she always scowled at herself. Hopefully no one would notice her uncertainty. She looked at Kodiac while he spoke, and nodded, agreeing with him. She sent Tobias a soft smile, and then looked down at the table.

Aaron smiled and nodded for, grateful for everyone's confident words. It was hard though, wondering how long things had been like this. Wondering how long he hadn't know. Wondering how badly things could have gone. Also, wondering where he'd be if he hadn't met Tinem.
"Y-yeah. Well g-get them back," he said softly. We'll free them. They did that with other controllers before. They can do it for mom and grandpa and I can help.

"It doesn't always look bright and sunny, but we never give up, and we never stop fighting. We've already won once, and I'm confident we'll be able to help them again" said Tobias. He just hoped he could continue believing that. It wasnt' always easy.

Taipa nodded, agreeing with her father. "Yup, and with mom and Dad and everyone else that's on our side on our side, there's no doubt!" She smiled again.
