Rachel shook her head, and told him, "No, none of this is your fault. It's the Yeerks. Not you. All right? Now get some sleep." Rachel gave one last smile before heading into her room. She closed the door behind her, and leaned against the door. She didn't know what was going on with her right now, but then she felt tears going down her face. Keep it together. You don't want Tobias to wake up and see you like this, do you? She gave one last sniffle, and looked outside with determination on her face. We will save you, Melissa. She knew she looked like she had been crying, but she just wanted to be next to Tobias, so she crawled in bed facing him.

Aaron nodded. "Kay," he said as he turned and entered the guest room across from the master bedroom. He shut the door and changed into the pajamas Rachel had grabbed for him to borrow, folding his own up and setting them on a chair in the room.
He walked over and sat down on the bed, a few tears sliding down his cheeks. His life may not have been perfect before, but he'd have given anything anything to have it back to the way it had been now. Well, almost anything. His own freedom was out of the question.
He climbed under the sheets and before he knew it he was asleep. The excitement of the night had taken it's toll on him and left him completely exhausted.

Tobias lifted his head, awakened finally by the moving of the bed as she climbed back in. He studied her, seeing her face looking as though she'd been crying. He watched her silenty for a moment, not sure if she was still awake or asleep. Finally, his curosity got the better of him and he asked gently "what happened, whats wrong?"

Rachel opened her eyes again and looked at Tobias. "You remember Melissa, right?" She positioned herself to where they could both be comfortable and said, "She and Vice-Mr. Chapman are both controllers. Aaron has the power to morph now, and they were after him. He had nowhere else to go, so now he's sleeping in the guest bedroom with Kodiac's pajamas." She wiped away some tears. "I'm not usually like this. Maybe it's because of this whole thing with the Ellimist." She looked at him again. "We're going to get Melissa back, aren't we?"

"They did go after Chapman again? I'd hoped they wouldn't. Or that they'd at least stay away from Melissa, like the last time. But then we know you can't trust yeerks." He sighed. "I hope we can think of some way...that we can save the world again. But how do we do that and yet keep ourselves grounded in reality? The fact that nothing is ever for sure and even less so in a war like this?"

Rachel said, "We weren't sure last time either. But we won that time, didn't we? If we did last time, we can do it again. We will get through this. We're still not sure if we're going to get Ax back, but I have a feeling that we will. We have what it takes. A wonderful leader, a wonderful team. But the most important of it all? Each other. We will survive this together. I lost fifteen years of my life with you and our children. I am not about to let it happen again."
(Maybe Rach sounds a bit OOC in it, Not sure.)

Kodiac heard a sound, and moved a little but didn't get up to see what it was. He might have been hearing things. AS he fell back asleep he heard his mother enter his room and get some pajamas. He sat there wondering what that could be about, but didn't pursue it any further.

"Yeah, you're right. I'm not about to either" Tobias replied. "No way I'm going through that again."

Rachel smiled at Tobias. "Good then. Glad we settled that," she said jokingly. She leaned to him and gave him a kiss. "I'm going to try to get some more sleep before I have to get up in the morning. How about you?"

"I'll try" he replied after he kissed her back. It still felt good, he thought, not to be sleeping in a tree, but in a bed. With Rachel most importantly. "I'm glad it's settled"

Rachel smiled again, as a thought about her being lucky to have someone like Tobias entered her mind. She rested her head on his chest and said, "I love you, Tobias," before starting to drift off to sleep.

"I love you" he replied tiredly as he too began to drift off again. He was finally beginning to sleep better now; having had problems in his early days with being so used to being in danger from predators and not sleeping heavily in his tree. Now there was only the problem of both him and Rachel having nightmares from time to time.

Rachel slept soundly throughout the night. She had gotten better since coming back and finding out she was married to Tobias. When she woke up, she saw Tobias still sleeping, and giving him a kiss on the cheek, slipped out of bed and started making breakfast for everyone.

Tobias was energized by the smells he caught when he woke up. Simple things like breakfast were things he never took for granted anymore. It was definately better than chasing down a mouse for breakfast.
He put a robe on and came downstairs, coming up behind Rachel to kiss her on the cheek.

((Bleh.... I've been busy. I have returned and am getting back to work with Aaron. Jat Haka.... I don't know is there anywhere where he's needed?))
Aaron woke up smelling the food downstairs. A part of him, for a moment, thought that he was home but when he opened his eyes the reality came flooding back. For a moment he sat on the bed, holding onto the last remnants of the moment when he'd thought last night had been a dream.
With a sigh he slid his legs out of the bed and stood up, stretching before he quietly opened the door and glanced down the hallway. For a moment he considered a number of odd possibilities, none of which made sense, for a reason to stay up here. There were none other than his own feeling of being a burden, something he knew would probably have been disagreed to.
He quietly made his way down into the kitchen where Rachel and Tobias were. "Morning," he said softly. Good morning hadn't seemed appropriate. Nothing about it, other than the kindness they'd shown him, really felt good.
