Jay's eyes slowly rolled open. He looked around the room. Cass' room. No, it was his room too, now. She'd let him move in after they became engaged.
He looked over to see Cass was awake already, probably somewhere in the house. He got up, dressed and walked around the house. Cass was making breakfast, and Ty was gone. Probably working.
He smiled to himself. Today was the perfect day...

Cass was almost finished with making breakfast as she flipped the eggs over. She grinned down at her hand where the engagement ring was on. She was so proud to be able to wear it.
Cass was so focused on making this breakfast perfect for Jay that she didn't notice Jay had come in. Cass had been awake since making Ty's breakfast. She couldn't go back to sleep, she was anxious to set a date.

Jay calmly walked into the kitchen, still playing the part. "Mornin' Babe," he said casually. He fixed himself a cup of coffee and drank a little. Setting it on the table, he walked over to where she was cooking.
Walking up behind her, he took her hand as she finished cooking. He gently put his hand on one cheek and planted a kiss on her other cheek.

Cass pushed the pan away from her and turned the stove off getting ready to call for Jay when he spoke. "Good morning, my love. I see you already took some coffee."
She grinned when he came up behind her and kissed her cheek and took her hand. "How do you like your eggs?" She squeezed his hand softly before turning her neck to look at him. "I love you, did you know that?"

Jay smiled. "Oh, you don't have to worry about me, all I normally have for breakfast is my cup of coffee." He stepped over and finished drinking it. No need to let good coffee go to waste...
"I love you, do you know that?" Jay walked back over, slipping one hand around her from behind, little did Cass know he was restraining her arms. Then, he put his other hand over her mouth.
Evilly, he whispered in her ear, "Oh, I know you do..." Then, he picked her up and dragged her outside.

Cass pouted. "But I want to." She wanted to be able to take good care of him, and hope that he would realize he needed to be a father figure to their child.
She felt his arm wrap around her, and she leaned against him and then looked confused as he put his hand over her mouth. The way he said those words...her eyes widened. Oh, my God...Tyler was right... Upon that realization, she thought, Oh my God, what if I never see Tyler again? Tears started falling from her eyes as she struggled as hard as she could.
Finally, Cass swung her leg and hit Jay as hard as she could where it would definitely hurt him. Then she ran as fast as she could.

Jay had just got Cass outside when a sharp kick forced him to his knees. He dropped Cass, and she took off running, as Jay lay on the ground in pain. No matter how tough a man is, he's not immune to that kick.
Quickly, Jay focused, black fur sprouting all over his body. He became more powerful as the transformation to black tiger finished. He took off running, following Cass through the woods.
He stayed on her trail, letting the tiger's instincts take over a bit. After all the tiger was a natural hunter. And Cass was his prey...

Cass forced herself forward. She had really thought Jay had changed for the better. Ty had seen it somewhat. She knew that now. "Oh, God..." she sobbed out as she ran. It was just like it was 18 years ago, only this time she wouldn't submit and follow the tiger back to that dreadful cave. This time he would have to kill her or knock her out or something.
She looked back, tears flowing freely. She kept on running, however. She had to remember why she was running...she was running for Tyler...God, she was an idiot... I'm better at reading lies than I was eighteen years ago, her foot...this showed she was just like she was 18 years ago...
Cass knew Jay could morph, but would he really think about morphing when he was in pain like that? She hoped not...

Jay was gaining. He heard her footsteps, smelled her scent. It was getting closer. And she reeked with fear. This hunt wouldn't last too much longer...
Jay let out a roar as Cass finally came into sight. In thought speak, he was cackling insanely. <Run all you want...I've got you...> And then, he lunged...

Cass screamed as loud as she could and urged herself to get away from him, for Ty...she had to do this...for Ty. She waited until he pounced, and barely managed to dodge him. She ducked behind a tree branch and ran that direction. This was a lot like before, but now he had been laughing in her head.
Cass pushed herself forward, she felt like she was about to pass out, but she wouldn't. She couldn't...

Jay stumbled, surprised she had moved that fast. No matter. He got back on track and was soon hot on the trail again. He picked up the pace starting to tire, but she was right there.
This time, Jay was as quiet as he could be as he gained on her. He waited a little bit longer. Then, like the ever silent killer, he lunged. No way she was dodging him this time....

Cass didn't hear him after a second and she slightly paused, which proved to be fatal for her. She felt the paws hit her and knock her down to the ground. "Oomph!" The wind was knocked out of her and she felt like she was paralyzed.
Slowly though she grabbed at a shoe, and hit him on the head, at the same time trying to get out from under his weight...Please...let me go... she thought in vain.

The shoe hitting Jay in the head only ticked him off. With a massive paw, he hit the shoe, and only the shoe, sending it flying out of her hand. He laughed. <You thought that would WORK???>
He got off and demorphed, then walked over to her and raised her to her feet. "What's the matter?" he taunted. "Afraid of you're fiance?" Then, he kissed her lips just to make things worse. Pulling back, he had a sick, twisted grin on his face.

Cass was frozen to the spot when Jay pulled her to her feet. What's the matter? Afraid of your fiance? She couldn't form the words and before she could do or say anything he kissed her on the lips. Out of habit, she opened up to him.
Inwardly, she knocked some sense back into herself. She then had an idea. This jerk needed to know that Cass was not the same person as eighteen years ago. She bit his lip as hard as she could, and still biting, slapped him as hard as she could. Then she walked backwards from him, a fierce look on her face. "Payback's a bitch, is it not?" She turned to run away again.

Jay yelled in pain, her teeth having torn through his lip, which was now gushing blood. When she ran, he took off after her, blind with rage. He caught up to her in a flash.
He leaped, tackling her to the ground. He slapped her across the face with full strength. "Yes, it is, but I'm looking at a bigger one," he hissed.
