"Yes, I am. And Really? Well, at least you like some of them. They're really not as popular as I dreamed..." Ruth sighed as she continued writing in her notebook. "Glad you like the first one. Ricky helped me get a publisher. In a way, he lives on in my books." Ruth smiled a sincere smile as she kept writing.

Amy smiled back. She tilted her head. "What are you writing?" She was curious to know. "Hang on...." She ran to the bathroom and threw up again. She felt a wave of dizziness, but dismissed it as she returned. "Sorry. Morning sickness is still with me."

Ruth felt sick when she heard the sound of Amy throwing up. When asked what she was writing, Ruth lied. After all, she didn't exactly want Amy to know that her next book was going to be about the day's events... "It's just another horror story....may or may not put me on the map..."

"Oh." Amy sat down, not sure of what else to say. "Um, do you want to go do something?" She thought it was a stupid question, but she said it now. It was too late.

Ruth looked at Amy dumbfounded. No one had ever asked her that before. She set her notebook on the table. "What do you have in mind? Wait one second, I'll be back. Would you like something to drink?" She then went into the kitchen for several minutes, and came back with two tall glasses of fresh iced tea. "What would you like to do?"

Amy watched as Ruth left, and looked at the notebook for a couple minutes, and returned to her seat before Ruth could see she had looked. It was of the day's events! She smiled, "Thank you for the tea."
She thought for a moment. "You like to play Cribbage?"

"Cribbage? Ricky and I used to play all the time!" Ruth smiled at the memory. "Sure. I'd love that. If you would, look in that little cabinet over there. You'll find everything we need and then some."

Amy smiled and said, "All right. Then that we shall play." She turned and grabbed a miniset out of her purse. Marco, where are you right now? She wondered. She pushed that thought away as she set the game up.

Ruth stared at the set Amy pulled out of her purse. "Okay." As she stared, the room seemed to spin around her. She saw Ricky's face before her, and he was laughing. She started feeling faint, and put one hand on her forehead.

Amy looked at Ruth. "You all right?" She passed out the cards and then said, "Drink some tea. It should help."

Ruth drank a little tea. "Thanks. I'll be fine. Okay. I'm ready now..."

Amy smiled and they played their game. So far, it was close. Ruth was only three pegs ahead from Amy. "Good game so far."

Ruth smiled, remembering all the times she had played with Ricky. When Amy said good game, Ruth tried not to cry, for that's what Ricky always said. "Thanks," she choked, holding back tears.

Amy raised an eyebrow noting the different tone of voice. She didn't say anything about it, though. She felt another wave of dizziness and wondered why she was feeling this way. She never had to have more than one sandwich when she was first pregnant with Eva and Laura. So why now? She shook her head. Taking a sip of tea, she said, "Three more points and you've won."

"Oh? Okay, I...wasn't paying much attention..." Ruth stammered, not wanting to admit she was having flashbacks of Ricky. I have to let it go... Ruth took another sip of tea. "This is nice, isn't it?"
