"Guraff, go easy on him" Visser 42 said, walking into the room "He is not used to your...rough...personality" He had been watching for the entire fight and had been extremely impressed by both of them. It was his first time seeing Visser 2 and his host was remarkable.
"Both of you have two of the, if not the two, most powerful hosts in our empire. That fight was a glorious thing to watch. Although, Guraff," Essak said, his voice light "You do seem to be getting a bit slower than you used to be"
Essak turned to Visser 2 and said as he bowed slightly "It is a please to meet you Visser. Whatever Guraff says, that was probably the best fight I have ever seen. "

Guraff bowed slightly to Visser 42. "My body is not as fast as it once was," he admitted. "A few years ago, I would not have a wound on me that I did not inflict myself. Visser Two's host is indeed remarkable. That is why I was not taking it easy on him. The day will come, perhaps within the next few years, when the God General will be no more. It is comforting to see that there is perhaps someone capable of following in my place. But Visser Two still has far to go."
He turned to Visser Two. "You must always keep two things in mind: you and your enemy. I wounded you because you knew only your own strength. You forgot that I have more blades. While you can attack me with only one or two appendages, my whole body is a weapon. The humans have a saying. 'If you know your enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the outcome of ten thousand battles.' You still have much to learn, Visser Two. But I believe you are capable of learning it."

Visser Two turned as Essak entered and listened silently, nodding curtly in return to the bow. He smirked a little at the compliment on the battle and returned to his normal form. Looking over at Guraff, he scoffed. <I know Hork Bajir well enough, Guraff. We all have had at least one of their kind in our lives. Yours simply has an abnormal size difference. It can throw anyone off.> He stood tall and proud. He knew he had a legitimate point and he would stand by it.

"Yes, that is one of its advantages," Guraff answered him. "A warrior must recognize all of his advantages. The mind of your enemy is a powerful weapon to use against him. My host inspires fear in many. Fear can win a war without blood being drawn." Guraff shook his head. Visser Two had so much to learn... And Guraff was not sure if he had the time or the energy to teach it all to him. Having the physical abilities were irrelevant without the proper mentality.
"Learn these lessons well, Visser Two. They are the difference between a true warrior and one who fights on the battlefield. They are the difference between victory and defeat. Now, I must excuse myself to the medical facilities, unless you have more to add."

"Ahh, remember you disadvantages" Essak said "Right Guraff? Like the fact that you can't heal wounds as easily as he can?" Essak chuckled. His own host was not exactly young and spry, but its mind was just as sharp as it had ever been. "While being impressive is good, it is also a very good idea to make other underestimate you. After all, it is always good to have a hidden trump card up your sleeve." He smiled with the last statement, remembering many, many adversaries that had underestimated himself because of his host.
Essak waited until Guraff had walked away before he said in a much more serious tone "Watch Guraff, Visser 2. He may be much lower ranked than us but he is also probably the most experienced and toughest soldier in our empire. If he had wanted it he would be a Visser by now, easily. However, he has avoided this for reasons only he knows."
After Essak finished speaking he he stood silent for a couple seconds, then asked in a much lighter tone "So how is your host, Visser?"

He looked over at Essak as he spoke and he relaxed as Guraff left, glad to be rid of the Hork Bajir. He turned and went over to one of the practice targets, starting to strike it with his tail blade. <It is strong and swift. It can also morph much faster than any normal Andalite. We should look into this Abramanus species it is mixed with. They could become an advantage.> He watched as the head of the practice target went tumbling and he smirked in satisfaction.

Essak smiled as Visser 2 jumped to a conclusion that he had already reached. Essak had sent a team to investigate the species as soon as he had seen Visser 2's host in action. However there was no need to tell visser 2 about that. "Nice hit Visser" Essak said as he watched his superiors training.
"It is good to hear that you think of the scientific ramification of the species, not just their usefulness of hosts." Essak said, his voice sincere "I hope that extends to other things?" Essak said, his tone making the statement a question.

He looked over, smirking. <Of course. The way this host's thought voice works. The way it strikes fear into all who hear it. Only we are immune because we can detach from this, only our hosts feel it. If we can find a way to transfer this into ourselves or our hosts. Our victory will be ensured.> He morphed to human and pulled on the jacket he had hanging up in the corner. While he loved his host's natural form, he felt more comfortable in the human shape, the kind of host that Visser Two had spent the majority of his time in.

"Possibly" Essak replied "but remember that a trapped animal is the fiercest, as it cares for nothing other than its survival." He watched as visser 2 morphed into a human, wondering why he did so. "And also remember that nothing is every assured, as chance has a way of screwing over the cocky."

He smirked as he straightened the jacket. "Normal fear, yes, but not paralyzing fear. I have seen even the fiercest creatures paralyzed by this voice. When my host attacked, he almost incapacitated Esplin himself." He chuckled at the memory.

"Do not be overconfident" Essak said, he voice booming despite his host "we were last time we invaded this planet and we payed for it" Essak shook his head, hopeing that Guraff would be able to teach this younger yeerk some humility.

He shrugged. "We know what to expect now." He turned and started out.

Essak shook his head as he watched Visser two turn and walk away. "That's what we thought last time too" he said to himself. Since he had come to speak to Guraff and not Tinem, he turned and walked away, heading toward the medical area of the complex. Once he got there, he looked for and found Guraff and said bluntly "I hope you can beat some sense into him before we make the same mistakes we made last time."

"As do I," Guraff answered. He wasn't too worried about his wounds. Hork-bajir healed quickly; he would be as good as new in a few days. "Does it seem to you that, the younger the Yeerks get, the more they want to make the same mistakes we made? They must learn respect for experience. That's the problem with Yeerks these days. No respect."
Guraff switched on the television. It happened to be on the local news channel. He looked up when he heard a reporter say "...never-before-seen event at the mall. We've put together footage from security cameras, amateur photography, and some media coverage to bring you the entire incident."
The channel then proceeded to show almost the entire fight Guraff had with Raylor in the mall. Guraff sighed and hung his head. His reputation would suffer greatly for this. He turned to Visser 42, knowing he'd have something to say about it.

<I trust you have an explanation for this, Guraff.> Visser Two stood in the doorway, arms crossed over his chest as the report finished. He walked slowly into the infirmary, eyes narrowed angrily. <And it had better be good to risk exposing our presence here.>
