(Not real sure if this should take place before or after official business....) Taipa opened the front door coming home, and she yelled out, "Mom! Dad! I'm home!" She closed the door behind her and then yelled, "I'm going to my room!" She went upstairs to her room and then plopped face down on her bed. "Stupid Eva. Stupid Carson. Stupid, stupid science project." She rolled onto her back. "Why can't Eva just keep her mouth shut? It is really uncool. And her jokes? She gets them from her father." She grabbed a pillow and screamed into it. "I can't keep acting like we get along! What am I supposed to do, go all BFF on her?" She was about to say more when her room door opened.

Kodiac wasn't too far behind his sister on coming home. His way of coming in was different. He calmly opened the door, quietly shut it closed, walked up the stairs normally, and opened her own door quietly and heard her say "...go all BFF on her?" Kodiac raised an eyebrow and said, "You frustrated at Eva again?" He said, standing at the doorway, a bit shy of walking in uninvited.

Taipa removed the pillow from her face, and looked at her brother. "Yeah. Come in. You always do that you know. We are twins. You don't have to wait my permission." Taipa sat up, making room for him on her bed.

Tobias heard them come in, and go up the stairs. He was curious about the heavy footsteps going up and in general, her going right to her room. From what he could gather, she seemed upset. Frustrated with human hearing, he morphed to hawk and perched on the stair railing to hear better. He didn't interrupt, not wanting to intrude if it wasn't necessary, but just listening a few seconds to make sure things were okay. He didn't use his trump card often, he wanted to respect the kids' privacy as much as possible, but sometimes it helped to do it.

Rachel put the lasagna into the oven and heard their children come in. She found it odd that they went upstairs and went to see what it was, but saw that Tobias was already taking care of it.

<I'm checking it out but I don't want to interfere if it looks like they can settle it.> Tobias told Rachel privately. <I can hear better this way, but I'll morph back if I do go up.>

Rachel smiled and nodded, understanding. She made sure she didn't make a noise when she went back to the kitchen. Trust Tobias to figure things out quickly; she was one lucky woman, she knew that.

Kodiac sat down where she wanted him to. "Yeah, I know we're twins, but still...Okay, so what happened between you and Eva that has you so worked up?"

Taipa leaned on Kodiac's shoulder. "Well, first off, we are now paired together on yet another assignment, and she groaned. Then I said, 'Aw man, not again!' and she took offense to that! I swear one day..." She growled and then sighed. She wasn't sure of what to do.

Kodiac thought a moment. "Well, sometimes the way you say it can tick someone off. You just have to be careful."

Taipa lightly smacked Kodiac on the shoulder. "Not helping." She sighed again, "I know, but it's no just me. It's her, too." She crossed her arms. "There are some days..." She shook her head.

Kodiac feigned hurt. "Oh, my arm! My sad, sad, pitiful arm!" He flopped over on the bed and then laughed. "Seriously, Taipa, I think you and Eva just need to sit down and talk things through. I know there are times when she could get annoying. Trust me, I'm paired with her in history class on our next assignment, but we have to work with what we've got."
