"Great. Just great to start my day. I find out I have to work on my Science project with Eva and Carson. Wonderful," Taipa muttered under her breath. She opened her locker and said, "Okay, focus." She turned to Carson and Eva. "Why don't we do the science lab at your house, Carson? There seems to have enough room on the outside."

Eva crossed her arms. "And what would be wrong with my house?" She really couldn't understand this girl. Taipa really got on her nerves. "How about this? We go to Carson's house today, and my house tomorrow? It's a two-day thing."

Carson rolled his eyes at the rivalry. "That sounds good, Eva. Let me call my Dad first." He got the phone and dialed his home phone number. "Second time in a row. Good thing it isn't detention this time." He glared at the two girls. "Don't even squeak!"

Cassie had just finished rinsing the dishes from breakfast when the phone rang. "Hello?"

"Hey, Mom. I have a class project to work on tonight with Eva and Taipa, can they come over today?" Carson switched to his left foot after leaning on the right one for so long.

"Hang on, let me go talk to your father." Setting the phone down, she went to find Jake. "Jake?"

Jake had just been lieing on his bed when Cassie came in. He sat up and looked over to her. "Right here." he said. "What's up?"

Cassie came up and sat next to him. "Carson has a science project and he was wondering if Eva and Taipa could come over to work on it." She flinched. She knew Eva and Taipa had a hard time getting along.

Jake sighed. That was just asking for trouble. "As long as they promise to behave and don't wreck the house, then I'm fine with it," he told her.

"All right, I'll tell them." Cassie got up, and said, "Rest well, honey." She went downstairs and got back on the phone. "As long as you don't wreck the house, we're fine with it."

Carson whistled while he was put on hold. When his mom finally came on and said that they were fine with it, he said, "Great, Mom. We won't destroy anything." He hung up the phone and said, "They're okay with it. Eva, it's your turn."

"Wonderful," Eva said sarcastically. "Dad's gonna think I got myself another detention." She dialed her father's number, hoping that he would answer.

Marco was just on his way out the door for another writing gig, this time one in which his comedy would be appreciated, when his phone rang. He pulled the sleek cell from his pocket, looking at the screen, it was his daughter, "If she even got another detention..."
He hit the talk button and held it to his ear, "What's up?"

"Hey, Dad. It's me. Listen, is it okay if I go over to Carson's house with Taipa and Carson to do some science homework? And can we work at our house tomorrow?" Eva bit her lip.

"With Taipa?" Marco winced slightly as he said it. He knew his eldest daughter did not get along with Tobias' child. And considering how he himself had often gotten into fights with birdboy and Xena, it wasn't hard to imagine their children not getting along, "Yeah, sure. It's for school, right? Just try not to kill anyone, kay?"
