The Ellimist peered at Jake's house. He had to inform him of the invasion coming. Again. So he caused a wind to creak open the door where Jake was. Hoping that Jake would come out, he took shape of a normal human being, and froze everyone else in time.

Jake felt a sudden breeze as the door suddenly began to open. He had been talking to Cassie, but she seemed frozen at the moment. He sighed and muttered under his breath, "I thought this was over Ellimist,"

One would hope, Jake. Unfortunately, the Yeerks don't quit easily. The Ellimist shifted the room, and it showed the universe. They have made their return, and now you and the Animorphs must fight again. He showed a picture of Rachel before she died. You have made sacrifices. You are down one warrior. I can return her to this time. Now showing a picture of the Rachel of this time, the Ellimist showed the ships that now flew towards earth. You have a choice to make. I can return Rachel, and you will have a chance of Aximili returning, but there is a price. Will you agree not knowing the price? Your choice, Jake. Talk to the Animorphs. I will give you 48 hours. He snapped his fingers, and everything was back to the way it were.

Jake was just left speechless. Everything had returned to normal, but what the Ellimist had said rang in his ears. You are down one warrior. I can return her to this time
But at a price? What did that mean?

Cassie blinked once, and Jake was gone. She got confused. "Jake? Where did you go?" She found him downstairs and she walked to him, wrapping an arm around him. "Are you okay?"

Jake had spaced out a bit thinking over what the Ellimist before he realized Cassie had put an arm around him. He looked at her. "I.........I don't know......" he told her. "We need to call the others. The Ellimist just told me he can bring Rachel back. But at a price"

Cassie said, "Price? Did he specify that?" Then she answered herself, "No, of course not. This is the Ellimist." Cassie gave him a quick kiss. "Do you want to call Marco, and I'll call Tobias?"

"We have to agree to it without knowing the price," Jake told her. He returned her kiss and said,"Yeah, I can take care of Marco. I'm not sure if Tobias wants to speak with me," He then took out his cell phone and dialed Marco's number.

Cassie sighed. "Why do I get the feeling the price isn't going to be there is no war?" She grabbed her own phone to dial Tobias. "And it's been fifteen years, Jake. We don't know what Tobias is feeling right now." She hit "Dial," and waited.
(Should we PM Marco and Tobias to let them know we are calling them?)

"Still, you'll probably have better luck than me," Jake told her as he listened to his cell phone ring. If there was a time for you to pick up your cell phone for once when I call, it would be now.he thought.
(I'll pm Marco if you pm Tobias XP)

"Seriously, I'm telling you it would be comic gold!" Marco insisted to the group of writers he was working with. Why did no one ever listen to him when it came to comedy? He was a comic genious! But he'd just been put on this movie to tell them how the animals would naturally react to certain situations. Cassie would really have been better suited for such a job, but it was Marco who had taken on the big world of Hollywood.
His phone began to ring and he sighed softly, taking it from his pocket. The screen read 'Jake'. Talking to his best friend would be a pleasant break from this stiff room of colleagues, "I'll just be a second, try to lighten up while I'm gone."
He walked out the door and flipped open his phone, "What's up, Big Jake?"

Jake let out a sigh of relief. He had answered. 'Marco, I need you to come over now." he told him quite serious. "The Ellimist told me he could bring back Rachel, but at a price. There's more but I think it'll be better saved for when everyone's together"

"Now?" Marco asked, turning to face the room full of men he had just left, they seemed to be talking to one another, maybe that meant they were considering his comedy angle for the film, "I'm kinda in the middle of a meeti-"
He was cut off when Jake said something about the Ellimist bringing Rachel back. There was a long silence from Marco's end of the line. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. he stood there with his eyes wide and his mouth agape, in stunned silence for what seemed like ages before he finally said, "R-rachel?"
He and Rachel had been constantly fighting. But it was a playful banter. They'd been as close as any of the Animorphs had been. Well, maybe not. After all, she'd been Cassie's best friend, Jake's cousin, Tobias'...well, his girlfriend, Marco supposed, "Does Tobias know yet?"
He knew full well that Tobias would be 100% for this crazy plan. It would be up to Marco to be the voice of reason. He wanted Rachel back...but he knew the Ellimist's game. The price would be great.

Jake heard a long pause from Marco's end of the phone. He didn't blame him. He could still barely believe it. Though he soon heard Marco's voice again. 'No, not yet. Cassie is calling him up," he told Marco.
"Get over as soon as you can. We have a lot to talk about," he told him. The Elimist mentioned bringing Ax back too. But it didn't sound as for sure as Rachel was.

"Right. Just let me get out of this meeting and I'll be right there." He hung up the phone, still hardly able to believe what he had heard. But the price was nagging him. They might have to give up something that meant as much to them as Rachel...knowing the Ellimist, it would be something big.
With a sigh Marco turned back to the office. He opened the door and peek his head in, the men looked up in confusion, "Bad news guys, I need to get going. But consider my idea, okay? Have your people get in touch with my people, and all that jazz."
With that he closed the door, leaving behind a rather irritated group of writers. He hurried out of the building, and climbed into his fancy car, he was glad he'd brought the fast one. Stepping on the gas he tore off for his friend's house, muttering under his breath, "Fifteen years later, and the calls still bring crazy news."
