Aaron nodded. "Okay. It should b-be fun." Well, he hoped it would be anyways. He'd have to see what the andalite thought of live theater. He loved being up on stage personally so he knew it would be fun for him, especially since it was 2 hours of escaping his stuttering.
"How are you g-going to g-get a human morph?" Aaron asked. "At l-least... one that w-won't look suspicious." He didn't want Tinem getting caught. Yes, humans were somewhat used to andilites, but Tinem was a little different and might not be as easily accepted as you're average andalite.

I regret that I may have to use my thought voice to frighten at least two humans into remaining still. I hate to admit it, but it is true. He lowered his eyes, a little saddened by the fact.

"M-maybe only one. I'd b-be willing to l-let you use some of my DNA t-to create a unique f-form," Aaron said. Heck, he was starting to think of Tinem as a friend and he could certainly help him with this aspect. As far as another person.... well he wasn't sure if there was any other way of doing that unless Aaron could convince someone.... I suppose I could always try.
"And I m-might b-be able to c-convince someone else t-to be your second source."

He watched him a moment, then remembered the familiar human gesture and shook his head. No, but thank you. I will find others. He looked around with is stalks and motioned that they should move into the trees.

Aaron nodded, accepting Tienm's choice. He figured it didn't have anything to do with his stuttering. He didn't know if his DNA would carry that, but even if it did it didn't guarantee that Tinem would have gotten that portion of Aaron's biological code.
Tinem motioned to move into the trees and Aaron followed him. That had been where the andalite was headed to begin with and Aaron figured it was because he didn't want to be seen. He realized his mind had instantly accepted the andalite despite the larger tail and reddish color. "Why d-do you look d-different than other andalites and have a f-frightening thought v-voice? J-just c-curious," he asked. He'd explained his speech issue to Tinem, he was only asking for a similar explanation.

He sighed slightly, having been expecting this. He stopped in a small clearing and brought his tail blade around. He began to spell out Abramanus. He looked over at Aaron and began explaining what they were and what he was. He finished with why he couldn't use his voice. The species seems genetically destined to cause sadness and despair. I cannot use my thought voice because all who hear it are enveloped in a feeling of terror and loneliness. None are immune as far as I have met.

Aaron listened as Tinem explained about the Abramanus and how he was half one and half andalite. It explained a lot about the differences in the way Tinem looked compared to other andalites. That had to be hard to live with though, even harder than Aaron's stuttering was.
"Wow. I c-can't imagine d-dealing with that," he said. He didn't try to act sympathetic though. Tinem obviously had found a way past his differences and Aaron knew that sympathy for something you couldn't change really only got annoying in the end.

He bowed his head slightly. Our two situations are very similar. We are rejected for our way of speaking. I feel..... I feel as though I have made a friend here today. He smiled, his eyes lighting up a bit as he hoped Aaron felt the same.

Aaron smiled when Tinem did. "Y-yeah," he said, "I d-do to." Nothing said a friend had to be the same species or race, that had been proved a long time ago. These two understood each other in a way no one else really could. It was a unique friendship. Friends. I like that.

Tinem smiled a bit more and looked around a bit, then back down at him. I have had very few friends in life. I am happy I have found one so soon on this planet. He started walking with Aaron through the forest. Where do you live, Aaron?

"I h-haven't had m-many f-friends either," Aaron said, "I'm g-glad to b-b-be yours though." He started walking through the trees, his eyes drifting to the barely visible water when Tinem asked where he lived.
"I l-live with m-my mother and grandfather in the house m-my mom grew up in. She and m-my dad d-divorced and we moved b-back in with Grandpa b-because she c-couldn't support me on her own." Another less desirable part of his life. No father and growing up with Grandpa around. Aaron loved his grandfather, but the man was even more strict than Aaron's mom and technically it was Grandpa's house and Grandpa's rules. That had never made life easy. Nor had the fact that Grandpa only provided them with a home and food. Anything else it was up to Aaron's mom to buy.
"M-my grandpa had b-been a c-controller and it r-really changed him...." his words trailed off. The only affects on Aaron's life due to the yeerk war had been negative ones.

Tinem watched Aaron's face. He seemed upset by the fact he didn't have a father. He walked over and tilted his chin up before signing with one hand. Growing up like this is nothing to be sad for. It made you stronger, did it not?

He felt the andalite's hand raise his chin up, and realize partly it was so Aaron could see his hands and the words he was signing. Had it made him stronger? Yes.
"T-true. I j-just sometimes wonder how things c-c-could have been d-different." Still, wishing wasn't going to help. It would be like wishing his mom had been an Animorph. Things couldn't be changed no matter what he wanted, not things in the past anyways.

He smiled kindly with his eyes. Then you should be glad. You are a strong individual and should not be so sad. Smile. He let his hand leave Aaron's chin, his eyes still smiling kindly.

Aaron smiled. "Ok." Tinem seemed to have a wisdom about him that Aaron liked. It was nice when someone could see the good and the life lessons to be had in things. Aaron wasn't so good at that himself.
"Sometimes I n-need someone t-to remind me about the g-good things that have c-come out of my life b-being the way it is."
