Cass felt the sand beneath her feet as she sat in the sun. Ty was away somewhere...maybe at work. It didn't bother her at all; she trusted him. Her head was leaned back, staring at the sun.
Cass closed her eyes, lifting her arm and tossing it over her eyes for a moment, before letting them fall. She hit someone in the process. "Oops, I'm so sorry. Are you all right?"

Nichole was relaxing, having found someone to watch her children.
She blinked when someone hit her. "It's ok," she said, sitting up with a smile. "It happens."

Cass smiled back at the person. "Hey, wait...you look familiar...." Cass blinked at her.
"Like maybe I met you somewhere before..." Cass had a confused look on her face as she tried to figure it out.

Nichole frowned. "You're right..." she said, leaning forward. "You look...familiar too..."
She chewed on her lip. "Did...were you....Did you go to ___ Middle School?"

Cass watched as the woman looked her over. "__ Middle school? I went there for a while, yes. I had to drop out, though..."
She bit her own lip. "I think...I should know you...I think I should know you well....like...an old friend..."

"Well...maybe it would be easier if I knew your name," Nichole said with a laugh. "I'm Nichole."
She held out her hand, waiting. She really hoped this woman knew how to shake hands. She had dealt with too many Andalites who just stared at her when she did it.

Cass' eyes widened at the name. "Nichole? Wow...it's been forever..." She stared at a moment before shaking her hand.
"Cass. It's me, Cass..." Then she frowned. Nichole was a common name. "Oh, man. If you're not who I think you are, then you must think I'm some kind of lunatic."

Nichole broke out into a grin, hearing the old nickname for her longtime friend. "Well, I always did think you were a bit loony, if you're the same Cassandra Ryonas I'm thinking of."
She gripped her hand tightly. "How are you?"

Cass laughed. "Yup, same old me. Just caught a few years." Cass' blue eyes glinted as she pulled her friend into a hug. "I've missed you."
Cass shrugged. "Same, I would guess. I've had quite a few rough patches, but in the end it's always worked out. It'd take a long time to explain. How are you?"

Nichole hugged her back tightly. "I've missed you too..."
She looked at her friend. "I'm good...Still chasing after the unknown. Only on top of that I'm chasing after my two boys." She let out a small laugh. "How's your son?"

"Still chasing the unknown, huh? Well, if you ever find it, then it would no longer be the unknown, would it?" Cass teased lightly. "And kids love to run around. Believe you me..."
"Tyler? You do mean, my son, and your godson? He's doing good. He has a job now. He's growing up on me...though he still lives with me. You should come over sometime."

"Oh, trust me...I know..." She let out a sigh, stretching a bit.
She smiled. "Yes, my godson." She remembered when she first saw him..."A job?" The image of the baby was replaced with a baby in a mechanic's uniform. Why a mechanic's uniform, she wasn't quite sure. It just popped up in her head.
"I'd love to come over sometime. See him. I wonder if he even remembers me."

Cass smiled. "Kids are amazing though. They are a true blessing in our lives, in my opinion."
Cass grinned when Nichole said 'godson.' Truly, she couldn't think of anyone better to be a godmother for Ty. She hadn't known Leona all that well, and Leona'd be more of an Aunt to Ty.
"Want to come over today? He should be almost home."

Nichole laughed. "Yeah. Though you haven't had to try and find a babysitter for my children."
She flushed at the invitation. "That...that would be nice. I'd love to see him again. He's probably gotten taller on me, hasn't he?" she joked. In truth a lot of people were taller than her.

"Babysitters, hm? I never had to find one. When he was younger, I usually brought him with, and if I couldn't, friends looked after him--well, I guess they would be babysitters, haha." Cass stretched slightly and said, "I almost forgot. Ty brought a girl home a couple of nights ago."
Cass thought for a moment. "I think he very well might be taller than you. Though, then again, he's taller than me, so....yeah. He's a tall one."
