Name: Guraff 427
Age: 42
Race: Yeerk/Hork-bajir
Gender: Male/Male
Personality:Guraff is a strange Yeerk. He lacks the ambition of his race, as well as the desire to enslave others. Instead, he inherited other qualities: honor and loyalty. Guraff is a true patriot. He fights for the glory of battle and the glory of his Empire. Whatever his commanding officers ask of him, he will do it. There is no limit to how far he will go to further the aims of the Yeerk Empire.
However, Guraff is by no means a mindless grunt. He has a keen tactical mind (it is unclear whether this is his own mind or that of his host, a Hork-bajir Seer) and is nearly unstoppable in battle. He is a master of all forms of warfare; he has almost perfect aim with a Dracon beam, is one of the greatest pilots alive, and has mastered nearly all forms of martial arts known to Yeerk. These qualities, combined with his unerring loyalty to the Yeerk Empire, have advanced him through the ranks without him even trying.
There is nothing Guraff likes more than a worthy foe. He has encountered very few in his life who could stand against him for long. He had a special fondness for Elfangor and even gave him the title “Beast Elfangor”, a title that now strikes fear into the hearts of Yeerks. As much as Guraff enjoys a worthy foe, he despises traitors. Even the direct orders of a superior officer may not be enough to keep him from killing any traitors he comes across, be they Yeerk, Andalite, or Human
Appearance:Guraff looks like any ordinary Yeerk, a fact that he finds ironic. Although, unlike any other Yeerk, he has a habit of exercising in his natural form.
Guraff's host, Seer, is a massive Hork-bajir whose size is rivaled by few. He is around nine feet in height, and as strong as a gorilla. He is in perfect physical shape and is even said to be able to balance on his hornblades, although that is probably only a rumor. Aside from his immense physical presence, he looks like any other Hork-bajir.
Family:Since Yeerks give birth by the thousand, Guraff presumably has innumerable relatives, though he is not aware of any of them specifically.
Relation: None
Background: Guraff was the first Yeerk to take the life of an Andalite. With a stolen Shredder, he fired the first shot in the long war between Andalite and Yeerk. He was one of the first Hork-bajir Controllers and played a pivotal role in the subjugation of the Hork-bajir world. He was also lucky enough to have one of the hosts who was naturally immune to the Quantum Virus. He and Esplin 9466 huddled in a bunker together as the world burned around them. Being some of the only survivors didn’t just catapult them through the ranks, it also forged a bond of friendship between the two of them.
Guraff helped Esplin to gain Alloran-Semitur-Corass as a host. However, when things went slightly awry, Guraff was trapped aboard the Jahar with Elfangor. Elfangor froze him and ejected him into space. He was, luckily, recovered after several years. Immediately, he returned to serve under Esplin (now Visser Three). He became the Captain of the Blade ship and the Visser’s (usually unheeded) tactical advisor. He fought valiantly in uncounted battles against the Andalites and is known and feared by them.
In the invasion of Earth, he was Visser Three's right hand man, overseeing numerous projects as well as preparing for the eventual return of the Andalites. He has encountered the Animorphs on several occasions, although they would not necessarily recognize him, since one Hork-bajir looks like any other to the untrained observer. Even after the defeat of the Yeerks, he continued to serve the empire, attempting to rebuild its shattered army. Now he fights once more for his friend Esplin, going where his empire demands.
RP sample: When the door opened, Guraff inhaled the scent of Earth. It had been a long time since he had been to this world. While other Yeerks were ashamed of what had happened here, Guraff relished it. Here, at last, was a race worth fighting. A handful of them had defeated the best that the Empire had to offer. It made life worth living again.
It was interesting for him to walk through the streets in daylight. Now that aliens were more common here, he did not have to hide. Finally, he could get to know the race that had defeated him. That was why he lost the first time: he did not know his enemy. But now, things would be different. This time, victory would be his.
