Cassie was in the barn, the one she took over when her parents moved halfway across the country. She had decided to clean it up a little bit and she asked Amy to help her. Since it was both their days off, and Marco was working, Amy had agreed. Right now, she was cleaning near the water tank. "All right, looks like we have some stuff to bring out."

Amy raised an eyebrow. "Some stuff? Cassie, that looks like it'll take months to clean! What'd you guys do out here? Throw a party?" She laughed, though as she said, "Should we do a chain-like thing? You hand me stuff and I put it somewhere?"

Cassie rolled her eyes. "All right, all right. I haven't been cleaning out here for a while, I'm sorry." Then Amy had suggested something and she decided to go for it. "Yeah, we could do that." She grabbed some stuff and handed it to her. "We could just set it down over there and go through it later."

Amy nodded. "That we could do, too." She grabbed the stuff handed to her and put it down nearby where they could reach it easier. "There we go. How's that?"

Cassie reached in again and pulled out an object covered in some cloth. She coughed at the dust that had been collected. "Here. You might want to take the cloth off." She noticed the bottom of the square thing was uncovered as she gave it to Amy.

Amy took the covered object and wrinkled her nose. "So much dust." She took off the cloth and said, "Oh, nice it's a pretty blu-" She was interrupted as a shockwave went through her body. She dropped the box quickly. It didn't hurt, but it definitely felt weird. She stared at the object with wide eyes.

As soon as Cassie's hands were off the object, she realized what the object was. A little to late it seemed. "Oh no..." She snatched the blue box from the ground and said, "I thought we lost this..." She looked at Amy. "Well, uh...I'm going to call Jake. You might want to call Marco. This is important." She grabbed her cell phone and dialed Jake's number, pacing nervously.

Amy swallowed. Then she nodded, grabbing her cell phone. She dialed Marco's number.

Jake suddenly heard his cell phone ring. He wondered who it was. It had been pretty quiet at the house, so the ring came out of nowhere.
He looked. It was Cassie. "Hello? What's up?"

Cassie nearly collapsed with relief. "Jake. Hey. Listen, uh. Amy and I were cleaning out the barn and we found something that we lost." Was that the right way to put it? She didn't know. "It was a box. It's blue." She hoped Jake understood that. "I gave it to Amy, and let's just say Amy was shocked to see it." She waited for his response.

"I'm telling you it's comedy GOLD!" Marco was pleading with the writers to listen to him on their latest project when his phone began to ring. He looked down and saw his wife's number on the screen. Since the war had started up again he hadn't skipped on any calls from his family, he couldn't risk it, and he wasn't about to start now. He made his way towards the dor, his phone still ringing impatiently, "Look, you guys think it over, I'll be right back."
He stepped into the hall and flipped his cell open, "What's up, Honey?"

Amy smiled, "Hey, sweetie. Listen, Cassie handed me something, and it...well, shocked me. She would like for you to come over. She's talking to Jake right now. She says it's important." She looked at the box. "It's a blue box that shocked me."

"Uh-huh?" Marco responded to the bit about Amy getting shocked, not quite sure why he should hurry over at that, "And that's a big deal because?"
Then she mentioned just WHAT had shocked her. He let out a soft sigh, this wasn't necessarilly a terrible thing, but it wasn't something he had wanted to happen either, "Oh...I see. I'll be over in a minute. At the old barn, right?"

Amy said, "Yeah, that's where we are. Cassie's here too." She sat down. "I'm not interrupting anything, am I?" She bit her lip. She hated interrupting his work. She put a hand on her stomach, and thought, I think I'm coming down with the flu or something.

"Alright, I'll be over in a little bit." He smiled as his wife asked if she was interupting. She was so thoughtful about his work, "Nah, I'm just trying to get a bunch of writers to laugh. You'd swear they'd never worked on a comey before! But I can get out of it."
He peered throuogh the window, that sort of frosted glass that made it almost impossible to see what was on the other side. The writers were hard at work, he could make out their blurry figures, hunched over their laptops, typing away.
