Leona was a bit taken back seeing a human child on the dome. Her main eyes gave a few quick confused blinks as she studied the child before glancing to the andalite one. <Uhh...I dunno....who's your mommy?> She asked seeming a bit confused as to how to handle a frightened child looking for his mommy.
For a moment she wondered if such things would of been easier to deal with had she raised Traycor her self. She quickly shook the thought off, however, she'd done what she felt had been best for him. At the time there were still many in the andalite fleet who looked down upon her, 'the pretender' as they'd called her back then, and some still called her now. Had it been known that Traycor was her son her shame would have become his, the half andalite, the son of the pretender. It was a fate she simply couldn't allow to fall upon him.
<I'm sure we'll find her, for now though I need you two to touch this.> Leona said as she held out the Escafil Device, using her thoughts to activate it, the blue box beginning to glow.

"My mommy is Dr. Nichole Matthew-Koris," Christopher replied, looking at Leona, then at the box. Maori pressed closer to him, clutching his older brother's hand. Christopher looked up at Traycor for confirmation. Traycor nodded and motioned for them to touch it. Christopher took a deep breath and, puffing out his chest, he touched the box. Maori followed his brother's lead, still holding the older boy's hand. They both jerked back their hands as the box not-quite shocked them. <It shocked me,> Maori said, sounding like he was going to cry. <And Mommy's not here to kiss my boo-boo!>

<Nichole...> Leona repeated recognizing the name. <....I'm so dead.> Leona thought out loud as her free hand moved to plant it's self on her face realizing who these kids belonged to.
Leona had to resist the urge to roll her eyes at the child's complaint, however she managed to remain sounding pleasant. <Don't worry. We're going to find your mommy right now so she can kiss it.> She said as her eyes formed a smile.
Turning her attention to Traycor Leona handed him the Escafil Device. <I'm going to head back out in to the water and look for something I can chase in to the hatch for you three to acquire. Be ready to shut the door behind whatever creature I manage to find and instructed these two through the morphing prosses.> She instructed simply before turning to head back toward the hatch.
Though morphing was a drain on her energy Leona was confidant she could handle morphing again, though it had only been a few minutes sense she'd morphed.

<Yes, ma'am,> Traycor replied. He was curious why Princess Leona had proclaimed that she was "so dead" after having heard that they were Mrs. Matthew-Koris' children, but decided that that was unimportant. However, he was a bit startled to hear that his old teacher had a PhD. She never mentioned it before. <Stand back,> he instructed the children before moving over to the hatch to await Leona.

Stepping in to the hatch Leona closed it behind her, and began letting it fill with water before starting to morph. Her morphing wasn't quite as quick as usual, a bit worn out from morphing the first time.
<Leave the Escafil Device on the floor in here before you morph in to whatever I find. I'll come and swallow it again to take it back with us.> She explained as she completed her shark morph. <Could you open the outer door for me please?>

<Yes, ma'am,> Traycor replied, placing the box on the ground and moving to open the hatch. He pressed the button and waited for Leona to leave, keeping a stalk-eye trained on the boys.

<Ma'ma? Aw, come on kid, you're makin me feel like an old lady.> Leona teased a bit her thoughts seeming to giggle even. When the door opened she swam out in to the dark ocean, her great white morph a massive and deadly form slipping off in to the abyss.
It only took a few minuets before there was movement coming back toward the dome. It was not the large shark that came in to view, but a frightened manta ray that appeared to be running from something. Leona quickly emerged from the depth behind the ray, showing a surprising amount of maneuverability in chasing the ray. She turned and like a skilled acrobat through the water, moving in ways that might of seemed impossible for such a large fish, trying to chase the ray in open hatch.

<I...> Ax stumbled for words, not at all sure anymore what he should do. He was in shock, having just found out that he had a son. He closed his eyes, all four, which was unusual for a vigilant Andalite War Prince, <I wish I could...you have no idea how much I wish I could...but...is there no one else you can ask for help?>

Nichole stepped forward. "No. There's no one else I could ask." She reached out, grasping the Andalite on the upper arms. "Listen!" She gripped his arms rather tightly, staring into his eyes. As the Andalite swam into perspective, she let out a gasp and dropped her hands, taking a few steps back. "Aximili?" She had lost much of her British accent over the years, but as she stared at her old friend, it all seemed to come flowing back. She stepped closer again, finally allowing herself to squint up at him. "War Prince Aximili. If you will not help me--no, if you will not help your own son, then maybe you deserve to be left out here." She lifted a hand calmly and slapped Aximili across the face. Hard. Her hand was cupped so that it wouldn't be interpreted as some sort of come-on. She didn't care if he attacked her, her only concern was for the children, trapped under the ocean. And who knew, maybe the smack would awaken his senses. "Controlled by The One or no, I'd still give my life to save those children. And, yes. That includes yours."

Ax lowered his eyes, his stalks drooping, as she began to lecture him. He did deserve to be left on this island...he knew that leaving would only harm those he loved. The slap came as a surprise, and his eyes widened, his tail twitching lightning fast, halting just before it reached Nicole's throat.
<Do you honestly believe I do not wish to help you?> He dropped his tail and shook his head, looking away, <I would give anything to see, to save my son. But my meeting him would only put him in more danger! You have no idea what it means to be controlled by The One, so do not speak as thoough you do!>
He narrowed his gaze at her, <It is best that no one know I am here. I have exiled myself for good reason...>

Leona finally managed to chase the manta ray in to the hatch of the she veered up to avoid following it in. <Close it.> She called quickly hopping Traycor wouldn't let it escape.
As she waited for him and the children to acquire the manta ray Leona seemed to be rather casually floating idly through the water, her tail barely having to move to propel her.
Cruising lazily through the water around the dome something above created a splash. A movement the shark was keen to pick up with it's unique sixth sense. Splashing usually meant something was wounded, which meant an easy meal. However, after their initial splash it was clear these creatures were not wounded, but moving strongly through the water. The splash was simply their entrances.
The shark's brain was then struck by curiosity, the electrical vibrations of these creatures were ones it didn't recognize, and it took Leona a moment to realize she's felt it in her current morph once many years ago. They were taxxons. <Shit, hurry! Once you acquire the ray get out of the dome and stay hidden on the ocean floor. If you don't hear from me with in ten minuets take those two kids and head directly east, it'll get you back to shore.>
That said she gave a strong kick of her tail sending her shark body straight up through the water at an amazing rate.

Nichole hadn't reacted when Aximili raised his taiblade to her throat. When you work with Andalites almost constantly, your husband is one, and your son is one, you get used to things like that happening. Plus, as one of her favorite English professors used to say: when they start attacking you, then you've won the argument. "If you're so afraid of the One, then why don't you just comit suicide and get it over with. Because exile or not, he can still get to you." With that, she turned and walked down towards the shore line. "I'm going to go rescue those kids. It's your choice whether you want your life to be ruled by the One. Just remember: if they die, their blood is on not only my hands, but yours as well. And if I'm still alive..." She turned to Aximili one last time, her hazel eyes flashing with surpressed rage. "I will make sure that the One is the least of your problems." She showed her teeth, which had suddenly become rows of shark teeth, and fell into the water, pushing out into the open sea. She could barely remember where the dome had crashed. She just hoped that she would be able to get to them.
Traycor nodded, bringing the children close to the ray. <Place your hands on the animal and concentrate.> He watched as the children followed his instructions. He felt a bit awkward, teaching his teacher's children how to do something that he barely understood how to do himself, but he knew that the princess was counting on him to get the boys out of there. He ushered them into the air-lock and let the water begin to fill the room slowly, coaching the boys on morphing. He began his morph after he made sure that they were changing. Then the chamber filled and opened, allowing them to go into open water. Almost immedetly, Traycor and the boys headed for the ocean floor. But this was not because of Leona's instructions. In fact, the rays had instinctually wanted to go to the ocean floor. But they would regain control over the rays soon enough.

Ax's stalks fell as he contemplated her words. Yes, he had a son, and that son was in danger. AS were the children of Nicole. It was his duty to help, and yet it was also his duty to keep them out of harms way, even if that harm was himself.
<If I go, I help you rescue the children...then I leave again. And Leona...> He pause, not even sure what had become of his bride, <She never finds out that I am still alive...nor does my son.>

<Of course,> Nichole replied, having fully morphed the shark. <What's a few secrets between friends? Now hurry up! I don't want to spend all afternoon waiting for you, you slow-poke.> Now that she was back in the water, she was anxious to get moving.

She was the perfect predator, hundreds of years of evolution had designed the great white for this one purpose, to hunt, to kill, to feed. Surprisingly, however, white sharks were rather finicky eaters, they preferred the fatty blubber of seals and sea lions, anything else simply didn't have enough fat to maintain their high metabolism.
Taxxons appeared enough like sea lions to convince the shark's brain to hunt them though. She could see them siloeted against the surface, just beginning to decent to search for the dome, still close enough to the surface for her to ambush.
In a blur of movement her torpedo like body shot straight up through the water, jaws lurching out of her lips to sink in to soft flesh that seemed to burst like a water balloon from her sharp teeth as her momentum carried her straight up out of the water, already beginning to shake the taxxon in her mouth side to side to tear it shreds as she flopped side ways back beneath the waves.
The shark didn't like the taste of taxxons, neither did Leona, but she forced her morph to keep on hunting them, lunging across the surface of the water to sink her teeth in to a another, narrowly dodging a few shots from several dracon beams.
The shark had no sense of motherhood, and on some level perhaps Leona didn't truly either, both abandoned their younger the moment they were born, however the shark simply did it out of instinct, Leona had fought against her instincts to give up her son, to have him raise as a true andalite, rather then the son of 'the pretender' a 'half breed'. The shark had no instinct to protect the rays swimming around below, it was Leona's own instincts that drove her to literaly eat her way through one taxxon to another.
