Cass was at the grocery store and she needed to buy a lot of things. She had a cartful and headed towards the cashier when she saw the computer Tyler had been talking to her about. She looked at the price and cringed a little bit. Not that she didn't have the money, she just knew it would be tough to pay rent. It was always worth it to see Tyler's smile and excitement, though.
Heaving the package into the cart a few minutes later, she headed towards the cashier's. She emptied the cart, signed a check. She waited for the cashier to tell her how much it was going to cost. She wasn't paying attention to who it was....she even had her driver's license out as she looked at the screen. If Tyler was there and saw the computer, she also didn't know what to do.

Ty was tired, to say the least. Ever since arriving in town and getting a less than decent apartment, all he'd done is work. He juggled being a cashier at the store and cleaning up at the pool hall across the street.
He sighed as he rung up the items, noticing there was no bag boy.
Tyler was bagging groceries at the next register, but it wasn't busy, so he'd decided to hop over to Ty's register and help him bag. Ty was new, and this was Tyler's first day on shift with him. He couldn't help but think something was familiar about Ty. But Tyler just shrugged it off and started bagging.
"Shift's almost over...after this, I get go home and rest," Tyler whispered under his breath. "Really?" Ty whispered back. "I have three hours...." They went to work, and Ty took the check and ID.
Ty's eyes lit up. "Cass? Is it really you? It's me, Ty!"
Tyler was glad about the computer, unable to believe his mom had actually gotten it for him, even though he was trying to save up. But once Ty spoke, that's all his mind was focused on. He finished bagging and put them in the cart, now just seeing what was going to happen.

Cass rummaged through her purse when she heard what the cashier say her name. She looked up and stared. It was Ty? "Ty? Wha-When did you get in town?" She grinned. It was great to see him. First Nichole and now Ty.
Cass saw Tyler bagging her stuff and she looked over at him when he put the computer in the cart. Then she turned back to Ty. Wow...Ty had gotten cuter since the last time she saw him. She couldn't seem to get her eyes away from him until she heard a thud and things scattering on the floor. She looked down at her feet. She had knocked her purse down. "Ah! Sorry, Sorry!" She kneeled down and picked the stuff up. She went to stand up and hit her head on the little counter there. She ignored the pain and then said, "Sorry, I'm a clutz sometimes." A blush came to her face as she looked at the screen at the price.

Ty and Tyler both went to help pick up Cass' things. When Ty got done, he stood back behind the counter. "Oh, I've just come back a couple of weeks ago. And it's fine," he said softly. She looked great, as she always had, but he didn't say anything. For all he knew, she could have already found someone. But, the way she'd looked at him before dropping her stuff hinted that she probably didn't.
"You okay, Cass?" Ty asked at the same time Tyler said "You okay, Mom?"
Ty blinked. "Mom? So...this must be Tyler, right? He was barely walking last time I saw him." He smiled.

Cass looked at both of them. "Who, me? Yeah, just fine." She scratched her head lightly as she put her purse back up. "Thanks for the help, you two."
She was amused when they spoke at the same time, too. "Yeah, he was barely a walker when you went out to have an adventure. Good times, I'm guessing?" She smiled.
Cass looked around and said, "This place isn't busy today. It must be nice for you, hm, Ty?" The blush was still there, but it was slowly hiding itself.

Tyler raised an eyebrow. He saw what was going on with Cass. He sighed, just hoping that Ty was the same guy Cass remembered, before going back to where he was supposed to be.
Ty smiled and handed Cass the reciept. "Yeah. Actually, I go off the clock now." He smiled. "I can take those to your car if you want..."

Cass took the receipt and put it in her purse. When offering to take the stuff out with her, she thought about it and said, "If you want to."
Cass went over to Tyler and touched his back, and whispered, "I'll see you at home," before going back for her cart.

"Okay, see you then. Love you."
Ty pushed the cart to Cass' car and carefully put the groceries in. When he finished, he looked at Cass, feeling like he was a nervous teenager again. He brushed it off. "Um...I guess I better be going..." He turned to leave and then turned back. "Um...hey...you wanna maybe do somethin' later? Catch up on old times or something?"

"Love you too," Cass said as they passed him. Soon the car was unloaded and she smiled a bit shyly.
Cass felt nervous, which she shouldn't have been. Maybe she couldn't help it. She didn't know. Her history behind boyfriends weren't good. Maybe it was just her. Maybe she couldn't be a good girlfriend, or she just chooses the wrong people. Yeah, that must have been it. She heard Ty ask her if she wanted to do something later. She beamed. "Of course I want to catch up. I miss you." She had no idea what made her say the last bit, but just the same, she did. "How about I give you my number and we can decide what to do?" She got out a card and handed it to him. "It's kinda different than eighteen years ago."

Ty smiled. "Sounds great," he said. Then he frowned as he took the card. He stuck it in his pocket.
"Yeah..it is different than eighteen years ago. I mean, I'm not sure how you meant it, but I'm working two jobs just to make ends meet...and...I can't call you. No phone..." He sighed. "Luckily, I don't need a car since I can just fly from work to home."

Cass blinked. "Oh...well, do you want to come over now and stay for a couple nights? I can come pick you up." She put her purse in the car and leaned against it.
Cass shrugged. "That's only if you want to. I'm going to hook up Tyler's new computer at some point tonight. But we'd still have all day."

Ty smiled at her. "That'd be great! You know, if you and Tyler don't mind," he said.
"Well, I can help with that if you want. I know a little about hooking up computers." He thought. "Well, I can come over now, then at some point go pick up some changes of clothes. I won't be a burden or anything."

Cass smiled. "Do you want to swing by now and get them? It would save time, and Tyler has a few hours left to work."
Cass shrugged. "I'm sure he won't mind." She was relieved when Ty said he knew a little about hooking up computers. "That would be great. I tried to do it once. It didn't look pretty." She unlocked her passenger side door and said, "Where we go is up to you."

"Yeah, we can go get them now, it's only a five minute drive from here. Thanks," Ty said, climbing in and fastening up.
He then started giving directions to his place. Though, he was a little ashamed that he lived in a horrible neighborhood...

Cass smiled and started driving off. "Anytime." She drove out of the parking lot and into the street, going the direction Ty had directed her to.
Soon they were there. "Here we are." She looked around. She didn't say anything about it, but waited for Ty to get his things.
