Everything was set up. Tyler had spent the entire day helping Ty move into the new house. It was a little bigger, and in a better neighborhood. Now, Ty was driving the car to the old house to get his Mom. Today would change their lives completely...
He hopped out of the car when he got there, and walked inside, looking around the empty house one last time. "You ready, Mom?"

Cass wasn't ready. Were they kidding? It's only been 12 years since they moved here. It was the longest she'd been in a house...but that didn't matter much now.
Cass sighed from the hall outside her and Tyler's room and said softly, "As ready as I'll ever be..." She looked around one last time and closed Tyler's door.

Tyler smiled. "I know, it's hard, but it's for the best." He took her hand and slowly started for the car.
"Ty's got some things to take care of, which is why he didn't come to. Everything's ready, and I'm sure you'll love it." He grinned again, knowing exactly what was going on.

Cass gave a weak smile and followed Tyler as he slowly walked towards the car. "I know it's for the best." She gave his hand a little reassuring squeeze.
Cass felt like she wanted to say something else, but she couldn't say anything else. So instead she continued following, having no clue what was going on or why Tyler seemed so excited. He must have really wanted out of this house.

Tyler hopped into the driver's seat and started driving. He looked in the mirror as the old house got farther and farther away before finally disappearing. He took a left turn and continued on.
He stayed quiet, smile plastered on his face. Finally, they pulled up to the new house. "Well, you can go first." He said. Quickly, he opened his phone as if to see what time it was. In reality, he had a text message saved. He sent it.
Ty meanwhile was in the house, when he got the text. He moved to the front doorway, hoping this worked.

Cass kept glancing at Tyler as he drove. Why he had wanted to drive, no one knew, but she wasn't going to push it. But he was still smiling? Hm...
Then they got there. She took in a breath and looked at the outside of it. "Well...I guess I could go in. You want me to go in first? You sure?" She looked at him, wondering what was going on. They must have unpacked everything in surprise.

Tyler smiled again. "Yes. You go in first. I've seen the place already." Then, Tyler's phone went off. Text message.
"Im rdy. Let her N"
Tyler closed the phone. "Mom? That was Ty. He's going to be late. So it's just us." He handed her the key, trying not to explode. He really hoped this worked.
Meanwhile, Ty was right behind the door, already on one knee, ring in hand, also trying not to explode with nervousness.

Cass looked at Tyler in wonderment for a minute as she took the key. "Okay.." She unlocked the door and opened it....
"Ah!" She nearly fell back outside. She caught herself and then blinked, bringing her hands to her head, confused. "Ty? But....Tyler said you weren't here....and what are yo-" Her eyes then took in the ring and the stance and her jaw dropped and she let her hands fall. Her eyes widened and tears were trying to force their way out.

"He only said it because that's how we planned it," Ty said shakily. "I...I wanted this to be special. Different. And...I'm sorry for scaring you."
He let out a sigh, holding out the ring. "Cass? Will...will you...marry me?" Ty looked as if he was about to explode, and Tyler looked exactly the same, only leaning against the car.

Cass opened her mouth to speak and it shut down. Her hands were shaking, as she gave one to Ty in time for him to ask her...
She knew when she saw him in that sitting position that he was going to ask. She knew what she wanted to answer, but the tears came out strong now. It took five minutes to get her other hand to uncover her face and reveal the smile she had on her face. "Yes, I will.." Then she jumped in his arms. This was beyond anything she ever felt.

Ty took her hand, shaking. Then, he saw her smiling, and caught her as she leaped into his arms. He slipped the ring onto her finger and kissed her.
Meanwhile, the suspense was too much for Tyler. Once slumped against the car, he was now lying on the grass next to the car. He'd fainted.

Cass felt great with the ring on her left hand's ring finger. She kissed him back, holding on as if it were a dream and she never wanted to let go.
Then the fact that Tyler hadn't said anything made her stop. "Where's Tyler?" She looked back at the car and saw....his feet? "Um...baby? I think Tyler fainted..." She ran to his side, holding Ty's hand. "Tyler?"

Ty went over to Tyler with Cass's hand in his, smiling. He knelt down and gently shook him.
Ty's eyes rolled open slowly. "Huh? Wha--what'd she say?"

Cass gave a sigh of relief. Then she blinked, not understanding. "I said...oh. You fainted before I gave my answer?"
She gave a smile and held her hand out. "I said Yes." She grinned. "You okay? Now I know how you feel when I faint..."

Tyler took her hand and stood to his feet. "Great!" he said, smiling. "Well, now I know how YOU feel when you faint," he joked.
Ty smiled. "What do you say we go inside and check out the house now?" he asked. "Tyler and I spent all morning on it." He winked and headed inside.
