Carson blinked. "Yeah, but I have good reason to be now." He sighed. "So is he going to come to my house to give me the whole pep talk or is he going to pick me up from school?" He knew Marco could do either one.

Eva shrugged. "If he drove you home, technically he would be doing both. You know how he is. Trust me, you'll be fine." She smiled at Carson. "Wait, so what does this mean exactly?" She just had to make sure.

"Uh. We're....dating?" Carson wasn't sure himself what happened. She was going to ask me.... Carson thought. Oh my god, I have a girlfriend, and it's my best friend. was his second thought.

Eva couldn't think much of anything, she was shocked. He had tried asking her. She shook her head and said, "I'll be right back."
She ran to the girl's locker room and made sure no one was inside then called her father.

Carson waited patiently and sat down. He was still in a little state of shock, not believing that they were about to ask each other the same question. He wondered what Eva could be doing but waited. That was all he could do, was wait.

The phone began to ring as Marco sat in the study, working on jotting down some script ideas for his latest project. He loved being a writer for the movies! It wasn't the best paying job, but he already had a fortune as an Animorph, he was a celebrity after all, however low of a profile he'd chosen to keep since starting a family.
He reached a tanned hand over to pick up his cell, and flipped it open after briefly glancing at the screen to see it was his daughter, "Please tell me you're just calling to say hi, and you're not in trouble again."

Eva laughed. "No, I'm not in trouble." She rolled her eyes a little and said, "I swear I didn't know he was going to ask me!" She blurted out. Well, that wasn't the way I wanted to tell him, but oh, well. It's out now. She mentally slapped herself on the forehead.

"Good." Marco laughed as well. He knew his daughter could be a handful, but he trusted her entirely to tell him the truth. Apparantly even truths he couldn't decipher as she blurted out a confession, "Wait...what?"
He had a feeling this was going to take his full focus, and so he saved his file and closed his laptop, "Okay, now what's going on, Princess?"

"Carson," Eva said. "He asked me before I could even ask him." Eva knew that her father would want to talk to Carson today, which was why she had called. She waited to see his reaction. As she waited, she wondered how long Carson was keeping his feelings in, since she knew he did that a lot.

"Ah," Despite the rather vague answer, Marco knew what was going on. He'd had the discussion with his daughter regarding her feelings for Carson, and now it seemed like he would have to have a talk with the boy as well, "Well, I guess that's a good thing, right?"
No, it wasn't. He didn't want his daughter heartbroken, but he also didn't want her dating anyone. Not even Carson. He knew the boy well enough to know he wasn't exactly a frceful youth. But all little boys were secretly perverts. Even Jake had been in on his share of perverted jokes with Marco.
"I'm thinking we'll have to have a little talk...maybe he should come over..."

Eva blinked. "Come over? Dad, don't you think we'd be rushing things?" She joked. Then she nodded. "All right, I'll tell him to come over. We should be done with school in an hour, and I want that hour over!" She glared at the school bell when it decided to ring; break was over. She sighed. "Why does school have to be so boring?"

"Alright, good. I'm always more intimidating in my own home." He joke back at her. He heard the bell ringing in the background, "Got it, I'll see you in an hour then. Now get to boring ol class. And remember, if it wasn't boring, it wouldn't be school!"
He let out a soft laugh and began contemplating what he would say to Carson. He wanted to make it clear to the by that if he put one toe out of line he would face dire consequences...but if there was one boy he didn't entirely mind Eva dating, it was Carson. No...he just didn't want her dating. Period. But still, she could have made a worse choice.

"Dad, with Carson, you're intimidating anywhere. You should see him, he's shaking in his shoes and you're not even here!" She laughed, "All right, I'm going. It's just math anyways." Eva rolled her eyes. "See you when we come home. Love you."

"Hahah, good." Marco joked, though he felt a little sorry for the boy. He didn't think he was THAT scary, "Ah, math. You really never need it, but you have to learn it anyways."
He opene his laptop as he prepared to work once more, "I'll see you then, Princess. Love you too."
He flipped his phone shut and set back to work.

Eva walked out back to where Carson was and said, "Why don't you come over? Dad wants to talk to you." She smiled at him, hoping he would be okay with it.
