With that, Aximili nodded in affirmation at Nichole's anxiousness.
The Andalite man swiftly approached the ocean and began morphing into a shark...
After the shifting and twisting of his form was complete, he immediately joined Nichole, swimming beside her.
<Thank you for your secrecy, my friend... Now, we must act steadfastly. Were is the exact location of the sunken dome?>

<It's...oh, no...I-I can't remember! No, no, no! Damn it! I have to remember! It was...This way,> she said, beginning to swim. She wasn't positive, but they had to find the boys. They just had to.
Traycor watched in a mixture of fascination and horror as his princess began destroying the Taxxons. <Follow me,> he said to the boys, leading them to where they could not see any more destruction.

A mental scream of agony pierced through the ocean as a dracon beam clipped Leona's dorsal fin. It had been burned nearly clean off, and though the beam it's self had mostly cauterized the wound there were still traces of the great white's blood seeping in to the water.
<Traycor! Get out of here!> She ordered quickly before turning to take on another Taxxon that had just dropped from an over head ship.
<Take the kids back to the shore...I'll meet you there.> Leona couldn't help but feel she was partly lying. She really couldn't grantee she'd make it to shore, after all this wasn't like the battles she'd fought along side the animorphs, this time she was taking on a horde of controllers on her own.
<Use the ray's instincts, it knows which way the land is. Follow it!> She said before splashing through the water, now a bit less gracefully with out the fin on her back to help her cut through the water.

As Aximili and Nichole hastily swam toward their objective, the Andalite man's tiger shark morph detected an attractive, pungent scent that pervaded throughout the ocean.
It was the scent of a great white shark...
<Leona...!> Aximili thought with the utmost of worriment.
For a brief moment, he wondered if his precious mate would recognize him after all these years; however, he cast away those thoughts and directed himself at the precise origin of the smell.
He would save his mate and child.
And nothing would dare stand in his way.
<Nichole! This way! We must hurry!>

Traycor turned his body to his young charges. <You heard Miss Leona,> he said to Christopher. <Head for land. Demorph as soon as you get there and stay by the shore. Miss Leona and I will come and find you when everything is safe. Remember, don't go with anyone. Stay by the shoreline. And don't worry. Your mommy is going to come and save you, just like she promised.> The young ones floated off, following Traycor's instructions. Traycor just hoped Nichole wouldn't kill him too badly for letting the boys go off by themselves. He just couldn't risk letting his Princess die when he was so close. He also knew the boys well. They would do as they were told at all cost. Plus, Maori could be pretty fierce with that little tail-blade of his. Traycor swam towards a Taxxon. He wasn't sure if this ray had any natural weapons, but he hoped the creature would know what to do.
Nichole could smell the blood, but she had been swimming for the better part of a day. She was tired and could barely will the shark body to do anything but...follow its instincts. If she had hands, she would have smacked herself. <Aximili, I have to rest. If I let the shark brain take control too long...Stop me. You hear me? I don't care how you do it, just stop me if I go to far.>

With so many warm moving bodies in the water the sharks unique electromagnetic sensory organs didn't pick up on the approaching ray until it was close enough she could see it.
With one quick powerful swipe of her tail she shot through the water, sinking her teeth in a taxxon she felt was a little too close to her son. As she swam by Traycor it some how almost looked as if she were giving a disapproving scowl at him, even in her shark morph.
<I told you to head for shore!> She said quickly before turning to shake another taxxon, it's body shredding apart as if it were made of paper.

<I will, Nichole. Rest here if you must. Since I now know of the whereabouts of our loved ones, I shall go on ahead.> Aximili agreed and explained.
With that, the morphed Andalite man swam at a breathtaking speed to save his family and other loved ones.

Nichole considered it for all of two seconds. <No, Aximili. I trust you, but I'm not leaving my children out there.> She started speeding up, pushing her body past its limit. <Just like the old days...> she mused to herself. She could smell the blood Leona was trailing off stronger now, and had to fight her shark instincts to attack.
<I will not abandon you, Princess,> he replied, aiming his body to attack a Taxxon. He rammed into it as hard as he could, not doing much damage. However, it did cause the Taxxon to back off a tiny bit.
<I sme--see her!> Nichole said, swimming as fast as she could. She rammed into a Taxxon that a sting ray was attacking. If she wasn't so tired, she might have laughed at the very idea. However, now didn't seem to be the right time. She tore open the Taxxon's stomach and began eating it without even thinking.

<If you were in a morph more suited for battle I allow you to stay, but-> Leona's thoughts were suddenly cut off as the great white's unique sense picked up on two other sharks. She saw one just as it swam buy to bite in to the taxxon Traycor had rammed.
Were these wild sharks drawn by all the blood in the water? It was eating the taxxon. Though truth be told Leona her self would likely be eating them if white sharks were not so particular. Though taxxons looked blubbery they were mostly liquid filled, and the great white preferred a nice fatty sea lion.
<Hello?> Leona's thoughts called out to the two other sharks unsure if they were two people in morph or two wild sharks coming to join the feeding frenzy. Either way she wasn't about to turn down the help.

As Aximili heard the exquisite thoughtspeak voice of his beloved Leona resound throughout his head, a part of his mind became mesmerized...
However, he was entirely determined to thwart the Yeerk attackers from harming all he held dear.
<Leona! Go and take everyone to safety! Now!>
He wasted no time in fending off the Taxxons...

That massive great white shark, literally just froze. Despite the battle going on around her, the blood and flesh clouding the water.
<A-Ax?> Her thought's managed to stutter before the white sharks brain seemed to get annoyed with a taxxon swimming up next to her, promptly turning her head to bite off the taxxon's.
<Aximili!> Her thoughts cried out with an unmatched desperation. Wanting to know she wasn't imagining the voice in her head, that it was truly his.
She seemed to some how manage to draw at least part of her attention back to the battle, though really she was letting the shark do most of the work.

<He's right, Leona! Get out of here! Aximili and I can take care of these Taxxons. You can...where are my children???> She had managed to see the very obviously empty dome ship.
<I sent them to shore, doctor,> Traycor said, swimming up in front of Nichole. <There was an...emergency and so Princess Leona was forced to give them the mo-->
<Watch out!> Nichole said, pushing him out of the way and ramming into a Taxxon. <How many more are there?> she snapped.

Aximili, utterly proficient with his combative skills, charged into a Taxxon, effortlessly gutting it.
By tearing apart this foul alien, the morphed Andalite man hoped to lure its eternally hungry brethren to feed away from his loved ones.
As one cannibalistic legion, the Taxxons diverted their terrible attention toward the wounded Yeerk-enslaved creature.
<Success!> Aximili yelled.
Turning to the others, he shouted his orders.
<Now, everyone! Swim to safety! I will keep them from preventing your escape!>
With that, the noble war prince went to engage his foes in ruthless battle...

<....Nichole get Traycor out of here. Grab him and drag him to shore if you have to...just don't eat him.> She said before swimming to join Aximili in the battle despite her injuries.
<I'm not leaving with out you...> She said privately to Ax, her thoughts speaking firmly, as if she was not giving him any other options.

<Leona! You're in no condition to fight!> Nichole shouted back privately. <He's your son. I don't think I'd forgive myself if he lost you because you were too stubborn to leave! Now, you're injured. Aximili and I can take care of these bad boys. So get out of here!> Aloud to Traycor, she snapped, <Go to shore. Find my boys. Make sure they are safe. NOW!>
Traycor sort of quivered. <Yes, ma'am,> he said. He turned and started swimming away. He felt guilty about leaving his princess, but Dr. Mathew-Koris sounded like she might rip him a new one if he refused. Literally. He wasn't sure how in control of the shark instincts his old teacher was.
